World Mental Health Day

Today is World Mental Health Day, and it is a day to support those battling with mental health issues. It is a time to sit and reflect or walk if it is your preference.
Nurture you mind, by staying away from stressful people, or stressors. Recognise your stressor and deal with them, sometimes you need to wireless dela with them from afar and sometimes you must sit in the stress to reach above it (colleagues, friends, or family). Take a moment to always appreciate the good you have. Yes, we all want to achieve more, but it does not hurt to enjoy the little or whatever we might have in hand. Comparisons are the thief of all joys, and most times we compare ourselves to people who do not even fit our lives; they are worlds apart, and that only hurts us. Stop overthinking and start doing (just do not drink and drive or get yourself on the wrong side of the law)
Do not forget to breathe, take a moment for yourself, no matter how busy you get, always remember the world will continue living and advancing without you, but you cannot advance or live without it. You need life and not the other way around. Know your limits, and when you have reached them, take a break. If machines overheat and need time to cool off the even humans need time to cool off. If we switch off our devices and charge them, we also need to switch off and charge ourselves. Rest is not a waste of time; it is a moment to recharge and gather more strength to do more, because if you overburn yourself, the aftermath will be worse than just taking a little break. Eat your favourite cake, sell your favourite scent, talk to your favourites, and listen to the songs that bring you joy and peace. Sometimes, you might have to rewatch the old shows you once enjoyed.
Always reach out when your mental capacity is strained, sometimes even to a stranger; it will help.
If you are struggling with mental health, please do seek the professional support needed from psychiatrists, psychologists, or therapists. Sometimes, you might not need professional help but a friend to talk to; ensure it is a trustworthy person (friend or sibling).
